He’s on a Roll!
Yes, the pun was intended! I know, I’m hilarious! So, our Roman is getting very brave in testing our boundaries lately and it’s starting to get old. He just needs to learn what he can and cannot do/have. So, on Saturday Peter and I were in the kitchen talking while I was slicing strawberries and we heard a noise that we’d not heard before, and given Roman’s recent track record, we weren’t about to wait till it happened again. So, off we took in a mad dash to see where Roman could be and what he’d gotten into and we found him coming out of the bathroom into the hallway with a trail of toilet paper behind him. He was quite proud of his new discovery as he pranced around with a piece still in his mouth that we were trying to get away from him, but alas, he ate it. FYI: toilet paper is not “soft and gentle” on puppy’s systems! But, before we could thoroughly reprimand him properly, I had to run and get the camera! Which I’m positive is sending all kinds of mixed messages to poor puppy. Here’s the funny part, it had to happen a few more times before mommy was smart enough to just close the bathroom door! Hey, I’m catching on at least!

Remember when we came home and Adam's gerbil had gotten out and we had toilet paper strwen alal over the downstairs? What a mess, but funny. I think I would have had the bathroom door closed at the first. I think with you closing the door, it is a case of the parent being trained and not the child. Was Roman contrite when you caught him in the act?
Roman is getting you ready to be a mommy, with all this training you can have 4 boys and it will be a breeze!!! Aiden has done the toilet paper not the girls though!! I love your hallway floor!! hey just a little sidenote I am going to have to mail J and R wedding present so if you have their address email it to me thanks love ya guys
Mom, I told Peter that same thing about that crazy gerbil, that's funny! Yeah, I'm a slow learner, shame on me! The first time it happened he was proud of his accomplishment, the next couple of times, it was a differant story with tail between the legs, head down, etc. . .Oh, and last night, he got a tissue out of the trash can as we now do not have the TP on the roll, but on the sink now, yes, I forgot to close the door yet again, will wonders never cease!
Lilah, I'll get the address to you later, it's at home. I'm glad you like our hallway, we redid the hall, living and dining room and front entry way all at the same time. Now we are getting ready to do Roman's room so we can get his crate back in there and out of my living room! It was lots of work, but deffinantly worth it, we love it! Oh, and I have a feeling Roman has TONS more to teach me before we're ready to throw kids in the mix! He's our little experiment!
What a crazy adventure! That will definately get you ready for parenthood! Good luck in the training process. It will be worth it in the end!
