It Finally Happened!

Okay, so I’ve been really proud of my puppy lately and was going to post that this week about how good he is and he’s not like the typical puppy that tears everything up. . .Well, that was until last week. Roman discovered my rug by the front door, boo hoo. But, as I told Peter, at least it wasn’t expensive, plus, I’ve been preparing myself for the inevitable! I think Peter took it harder than I did, mostly because he didn’t know how I’d react to the news, but it’s fine! For now! I went home that night thinking that the corner would be chewed away, but nope, Roman decided that the dead center of the rug looked pretty tasty to him, so away he went at it. He didn’t chew a hole through it, but snagged it pretty good and tore out lots of really long strings. So now, it doesn’t lay straight, it’s just all bunched up so I trip over it all the time! That’s getting really old! But, at least it still gets the job done for now. We’ll be purchasing a new rug eventually, but not till he’s got the chew thing out of his system.

That is funny, lucky me Asia does not chew anything but her toys rawhide and pig ears. Wait she does love chewing on stuffed animals but be so glad Roman picked your rug instead of furniture or drywall!!

Yeah, if he ever even licks my couch, I freak out, he's really weird about licking EVERYTHING, excessively, not just a lick or two, but it goes on for a minute or two, I'm hoping it's a puppy thing, but it's really getting annoying. I'm glad he's not chewed on furniture yet, woe to him if he does!

too funny about the rug. Ezkiel just chewed th edges of rugs and chairs and I think tha was it. But it was enough, becasue the rug was 8 x 10 and the chair was a kitchen one which still bares the marks 15 years later. I have to keep the memories alive to prove that we had a dog and not to get one again. :)
